The BOSS will take centre stage as Highway Care returns to ISE

Our team here at Highway Care will return to the International Security Expo (ISE) once again this September, and like last year we will be joining forces with our partner, Crowdguard on stand E100 – further strengthening our “Protecting in Partnership” collaboration.

Held at London Olympia on 24 – 25 September 2024, ISE attracts exhibitors and delegates from around the world to find out about current and emerging security and terrorist threats, along with the latest innovations designed to protect people, places and property.

We will be returning to the exhibition for our third consecutive year, with a bigger stand than ever before. The team will showcase our range of industry-leading Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) systems and perimeter protection products, with technical expertise to advise on the most appropriate solutions for a wide range of environments.

Introducing The BOSS

A highlight for visitors to our stand will be the highly anticipated debut of The BOSS (Barrier on Strong Spikes). The exhibition will be the first opportunity for security professionals to see the latest addition to our HVM range and discuss its features and suggested applications with our team.

The BOSS is an ultralightweight, ISO 22343-1 certified and NPSA listed HVM system engineered to prevent vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes travelling at speeds of up to 48kph (30mph) from breaching protected areas.
The innovative spike design captures a vehicle’s wheels and axle, bringing it to a controlled stop. The standard system can be used in multiple pedestrian permeable configurations, while the upgraded system can be installed to provide a continuous HVM barrier. Both configurations are fast to install and reconfigure, enabling the HVM to be moved swiftly aside for authorised or emergency vehicular access.

“We’re excited to unveil The BOSS at ISE 2024, highlighting our dedication to pioneering HVM solutions,” comments Highway Care’s Commercial Director, Ben Duncker. “This innovative system works in a completely different way to other hostile vehicle mitigation solutions because it disables the vehicle as well as bringing it to a stop, while minimising impact debris. We’re looking forward to engaging with industry professionals to discuss the potential benefits of The BOSS for their security and counter terrorism strategies and getting their feedback on this flexible system.”

Protecting in Partnership

We will be exhibiting with our partner, Crowdguard once again this year, and we are proud to be protecting in partnership. Crowdguard are specialists in HVM specification, supply and installation and our trusted HVM partner for the RB50 and The Claw systems.

RB50 is a popular and versatile HVM choice for providing fast and flexible protection. Ideal for events or protection of temporary road closures, it can be deployed in minutes, moved aside for emergency access swiftly and stored securely in compact stillages, making it ideal for wide-ranging security needs and operational considerations.

Meanwhile, The Claw provides a drop-and-go HVM solution that can be customised with branding, advertising or wayfinding. Our experts will be on hand to discuss the most suitable solutions for different requirements.
