Highway Care is building on its Marketing and Communications capabilities with the appointment of Kelly Tucker to the new role of Marketing Executive.

Joining us from traffic management specialist, Core Highways, where she was Communications and Engagement Manager for two years, Kelly is a communications and marketing professional with broad experience of the highways sector. She will be working alongside our Head of Communications and Marketing, Hayley Terrell, supporting the company’s marketing activities across both digital and offline channels, along with exhibitions and events, direct marketing, and internal communications.

Kelly’s experience includes project managing a rebrand for her previous employer, including co-ordination of all design and messaging in a strategic plan, which she developed and delivered. Her previous role also included an internal comms remit and managing content and engagement across digital platforms.

Prior to working in the highways sector, Kelly worked in a Corporate Affairs role for Exeter College for five years, which involved a significant amount of event co-ordination and external communications.

Commenting on her new role, Kelly said: “After two years in the highways industry, I feel like I have found my place in a sector I love. This is such a supportive environment where people and companies pull together to ensure that the road network is as safe as possible for all.

“The role at Highway Care gives me the opportunity to build on that purpose with a company that puts safety at the centre of everything it does, and I can’t wait to develop my career with the company and contribute to Highway Care’s continued engagement with customers, partners and industry peers.”

Kelly’s appointment follows a period of sustained growth at Highway Care, coupled with ambitious plans to expand both our range and our reach as we continue to bring innovative solutions for a safer future to market.

Hayley Terrell adds: “These are exciting times for Highway Care with new products and partnerships in development.

“My remit as Head of Communications has developed beyond marketing to include management responsibilities across our customer service and business development functions. Kelly’s new role will enable me to deploy additional resource for key aspects of our marketing presence so that we can continue to engage effectively with customers, partners, our marketplaces and our own team, while also investing senior comms experience across other departments.

“I couldn’t be more excited to welcome Kelly into the team. I know, even from the short time I have known her, we will make a strong team with a creative outlook, and will learn from each other along the way. Watch this space, there are so many exciting things on the horizon!”
