Saluting service: Highway Care celebrates long-serving colleagues
At Highway Care, our success in innovative road safety solutions relies heavily on the expertise and dedication of our talented team. We are proud not only to recruit skilled professionals but also to nurture and retain them, fostering long, rewarding careers within the highways sector.
Two of our remarkable team members, Dorian Fermor and Oliver Pulling, recently celebrated milestone anniversaries with us, and we are proud to champion their unwavering commitment and the achievements they’ve reached with us so far.
Operations Team Leader, Dorian is one of our longest-serving team members, transitioning from a career in manufacturing into the highways industry in 1999. Over the last 25 years, Dorian has become a linchpin in our Operations Team. He has continually enhanced his expertise through various training and certifications, adding Lift Supervisor, Lorry Loader and First Aid to his remit.
Dorian’s dedication to safety and efficiency, combined with his camaraderie, makes him a cornerstone of our team. “It’s the people,” Dorian says about his long tenure. “We focus on getting the job done safely and on time, but we have fun doing it.”
Meanwhile, we are also thrilled to recognise our Applications and Innovations Manager, Oliver Pulling, who is celebrating 10 years with Highway Care. Oliver joined us as a field applications engineer in 2014 and has since risen through the ranks to become our technical lead across the UK and internationally. Oliver spearheads our applications and engineering departments while also serving as the training lead for our Lantra-accredited NHSS training courses, enabling him to bolster best practice in the industry.
Dorian and Oliver’s journeys with Highway Care is testament to our commitment to developing long-term careers. We believe in recognising and rewarding our team members’ dedication and hard work.
Our Long Term Service Awards policy is a key part of this commitment, showcasing to our team how much we value their contributions. We award employees as they celebrate their five-year anniversary with us, and continue to issue awards after every five years of service. By supporting our employees’ growth and celebrating their career milestones, we ensure that Highway Care remains a place where talent thrives and careers flourish.
