The Falcon 75 Automated Cone Laying Machine (ACLM) brings our award-winning automated cone laying technology to local and rural roads with a smaller, more agile vehicle packed with all the functionality of the larger model.
Designed to protect road workers from the dangers of conventional cone laying, the Falcon 75 ACLM automates the process reduces the need for workers in the carriageway or on the rear of the vehicle. Mounted on the back of a 2300mm wide flatbed truck chassis, it can deploy up to 7 cones/minute and collect up to 6 cones/minute with reliable, repeatable accuracy. The machine is powered by a 48 VDC/180 Ah battery, which enables approximately 600 cone cycles on a single charge. The ACLM Falcon 75 is available in three capacity arrangements, ranging from 240 to 480 cones in each machine.

The Falcon 75 ACLM leverages proven technology
Agile Cone Laying
- The FALCON 75 ACLM is ideal for local and rural roads for use with 750mm, 5kg cones.
- With various modes for different traffic management settings, including pre-set modes for medium and narrow lanes, the Falcon 75 ACLM is adaptable for a wide range of environments and road work projects, including on narrower roads that are less straight or come with height restrictions and require a smaller vehicle to suit the needs of the operation. The system is suitable for use in all weather conditions.
- Cone laying is controlled using an easy-to-operate touch screen control panel in the Falcon 75 ACLM cab, and the distance between cones can be set by the operator within a range of 3-100m.
- The vehicle also has a taper function, enabling both left-to-right and right-to-left tapers, with the ability to set the number of cones and cone spacing to local requirements. This allows for alternative taper (no infill cones) at 9m centres or relaxed taper at 3m centres.
- The Falcon 75 ACLM also incorporates four cameras, enabling the whole cone laying, taper and cone collection process to be monitored from the cab, using the touch screen display.
Safer Cone Laying
- Protecting road workers from live traffic and traffic fumes, the Falcon 75 ACLM also avoids the need for repeated bending and lifting of cones, protecting workers from the musculoskeletal strain associated with conventional cone laying.
- On narrower local and rural roads, where space is limited, eliminating boots on the ground from cone laying operations significantly reduces risk for road workers, while also limiting distractions and hazards for road users.
Trusted Technology
- Our Falcon 75 ACLM leverages the proven technology of the Falcon 100 ACLM, which we developed with our partners, gaining acceptance from National Highways in February 2021 now in use across the strategic road network.

Safety benefits of the Falcon 75 ACLM
In addition to protecting highways operatives from the hazards of working close to live lanes of traffic, the Falcon 75 ACLM brings a number of additional safety benefits to cone laying operations.
Avoids manual handling, preventing the risk of musculoskeletal injuries
Avoids exposure to fumes from the back of the traffic management vehicle and other vehicles
Overcomes the risk of hearing loss due to prolonged exposure to traffic noise
Avoids the safety risks of walking cones in and out of position
Avoids the need for operatives to work outside in harsh weather for long cone laying shifts
Protects drivers from the risk of being distracted by manual cone laying operations
