It may not quite be Easter yet, but the team at Highway Care have helped to get the double bank holiday off to a cracking start by hopping to our local children’s ward and springing forward to help hardworking charities with some egg-stra special treats.
After surprising the children at Hereford County Hospital with selection boxes last Christmas, our Callow Hill team were keen to spread some more chocolatey joy this Easter by revisiting the ward with Easter eggs for those spending the time in hospital.
Meanwhile in Kent, we teamed up with Reed HR and Recruitment, joining their Easter campaign for Demelza Charity, a local Children’s Hospice, and Crossroads Care Kent, a young carers service, in an initiative that resulted in 633 Easter eggs, along with a selection of arts and crafts activities, being distributed between the two charities.
We are proud that our generous Highway Care team scrambled to add to the total, bringing Easter eggs into work ready for the Easter Bunny to make their deliveries. The result was a fantastic total of 94 eggs!
Kelly Cronin, Marketing Executive on behalf of the Highway Care social value working group commented: “We were delighted to be approached by Reed to take part in their Easter Egg campaign alongside other local businesses in Kent and it’s wonderful to know that our donations will bring a smile to the faces of people in the local community who are facing challenging times.
“It’s also great to continue building our relationship with the Wye Valley NHS Trust and the Children’s Ward at Hereford County Hospital. We hope that the eggs we have donated will spread a little joy this Easter.”
